SDRL Week 3 – Eldora Pro LM & Volusia Outlaw Sprints

Due to lack of participation, the Street Stock Series has been canceled. We will re-evaluate Street Stock at a future time.

In the interest of competition, I have elected to change this Friday nights schedule a bit. Sprints will be at Volusia as scheduled, however, I have decided to replace Super Late Model with the Pro Late Model and set a fixed setup, and also switch to Eldora. I would like to see more folks join in and I hope that this will encourage that. 8:45p ET hotlaps, 9:05p ET qualifying.

Coffman holds on to USA International Outlaw Sprint Car victory

52-Chad Wells would set fast time at USA International with his lap of 18.271. Through the course of the first few laps the racing was intense until caution would slow the pace after 11-Josh Zelenka and 24-Markus Hankins got together battling hard. Hankins would retire to the pit area where the crew “unloaded the backup” and he returned to do battle. Up front, Zelenka was hot on the heels of new leader 30-Taylor Coffman. Zelenka would tag the inside wall while closing in on the race lead, allowing Coffman to pull away. All competitors in this feature were able to lead at least 1 lap, but it was Coffman leading the most at 23. 1) 30-Taylor Coffman 2) 11-Josh Zelenka 3) 52-Chad Wells 4) 24-Markus Hankins

The series takes next week off and returns to action on Friday May 5th at Volusia Speedway Park.

Zelenka cruises to Eldora Super Late Model victory

11-Josh Zelenka would set on the pole at Eldora Speedway in the SDRL Super Late Model Series with a blazing lap of 16.377. He would easily lead flag-to-flag across 40 laps. The series will take next week off before returning to action on Friday May 5th at Williams Grove Speedway. 1) 11-Josh Zelenka 2) 24-Markus Hankins 3) 52-Chad Wells 4) 56-Mary Cash

Josh Zelenka cruises to win in first-ever SDRL Outlaw Sprint Car Series feature

Congratulations to 11-Josh Zelenka on picking up the SDRL Outlaw Sprint Car Series victory at Eldora Speedway! 79-Drew Chance set fast time (13.302) and led the first 11 laps before he would get too sideways, opening the door for Zelenka to slide to the outside and cruise to victory. Meanwhile, the action heated up for 2nd spot between 24-Markus Hankins, 52-Chad Wells, and Chance as slidejobs were swapped, but ultimately ended in a crash for Hankins after tangling with Chance.
